Research interests
Dr Marjanovic is primarily focused on the applications of control theory to industrial problems. Applications include control, monitoring and optimisation solutions for processes found in the following industry sectors:
- Pharmaceutical
- Fine/specialty chemicals
- Power generation and transmission
- Wastewater treatment
Areas of control theory and application that are currently researched by Dr Marjanovic include:
- Optimal control of batch processes
- Model predictive control
- Optimisation techniques
- Statistical analysis of spectral imaging data
- Multivariate Statistical Process Control (fault detection and diagnosis using statistical methods)
- Modelling of industrial processes (first-principle and data-driven modelling techniques)
