Please study the content of the First Year Course Units; you need to be confident that you have studied this material as it will be assumed that you have this knowledge when you start the second year.
Your previous studies will be a good preparation for our second year but information on "Microcontroller Project & Microcomputer Engineering I", "Digital System Design I" and "Java Programming" is given below as these are the course units that you are most likely not to have studied. It is essential that you familiarise yourself with this material.

Registration week activities
Tool Kit
All students will need to have a basic set of tools, the essential items being: side cutters (small), snipe nose pliers (small), wire stripper and cutter, flat blade screwdriver (3mm blade width), flat blade screwdriver (5mm blade width), cross-head screwdriver (No. 1), and stripboard cutter.
The School does offer a basic toolkit at cost price, and this is typically very similar to the Zip Wallet Tool Kit (Part No. 85-0055) from Rapid Electronics. This will be available to purchase from reception when you arrive.
