PhD researcher Priya Shinghal wins IMaRC Best Paper Award
Miss Priya Shinghal is a final year PhD researcher under the supervision of Dr Robin Sloan, in the Materials, Devices and Systems Division (MDS). She received the Best Paper Award for her technical contribution entitled ‘Multi-Cascode Cell Design for Increased Broadband Power 0.1μm GaAs pHEMT MMICs up to V-Band’ at the IEEE International Microwave & RF Conference (IMaRC) – December 2015, held at Hyderabad, India. The paper presented a novel design technique for achieving optimum reverse isolation in Ultra-broadband MMIC travelling wave amplifiers for application in next generation mm-wave instrumentation. The paper had important contributions from and was co-authored by Dr Christopher I Duff, Dr Robin Sloan from The University of Manchester and Dr Steven Cochran from Keysight Technologies, Santa Rosa, CA, USA.
