What I enjoy most about the course is the modules; I like that we study subjects intensively over three weeks, instead of all at the same time for the whole semester.
I decided to study a postgraduate degree in February and it was too late to apply to a university in the United States. So I looked at university rankings on different websites and The University of Manchester was the best school for electrical engineering outside the US. The fact that it was a one year programme was very appealing. I also looked at programmes in Germany and the Netherlands that were less expensive, but disregarded them because they were two-year courses, rather than one.
My first impressions of the University were all positive; the infrastructure was amazing and the people were very friendly. What I enjoy most about the course is the modules. I also like that we study subjects intensively over three weeks, instead of all at the same time for the whole semester.
The course is helping me become a better professional. Not only am I improving my technical skills, but my written and verbal communication skills too. Living in a hall of residence, surrounded by students from all over the world, has taught me a lot about different cultures.
I would recommend this course to potential students. They should be prepared to work hard to get the most out of their studies, but also socialise with people from different cultures and enjoy this great experience.
