Postgraduate Study
The Group offers a well supported & stimulating environment for training in research methods, leading to either the PhD or EngD degree. We currently have around twenty five research students, just over half of whom are from outside of the United Kingdom.
In addition to private sources, our research students are funded by a variety of means including EPSRC, DTA and EngD awards, Dorothy Hodkins and ORS awards, research contracts & School bursaries.
We are always keen to recruit new research students. If you are interested in joining us, please read about our research on the research page, then contact the relevant member or staff from the list below for more information. If you are unsure who to contact, please email the Head of Group, Professor Andrew Forsyth.
MSc and PhD funding has been awarded for the 2011/2012 academic year. Please check back or contact the Group Administrator, Dr JT Welsch, regarding opportunities for 2012.
