Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Manchester in top 3 in UK for research that makes an impact
For the first time an assessment research impact has been introduced as part of a national audit of research excellence called the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
Results from this assessment have just been published and the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering was ranked in the top three of all institutions in our discipline for impact- a clear indication of the importance and relevance of our research.
Overall, on REF criteria based on research power - a measure of quality times the size of submission - we ranked 4th in our discipline.
Once again, we are delighted with the vote of confidence that our graduating students have given us in the National Student Survey with 95% student satisfaction for our courses.
