Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Undergraduate courses

From the all-encompassing Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree to the Mechatronic Engineering course, our undergraduate courses are varied.

As well as choosing your area of interest, you can also select a three-year BEng or a four-year MEng - a choice that can be made at the end of your second year.

Whichever you choose may be determined by your career goals. If you are aiming to be a Chartered Engineer, the accredited MEng degree provides the educational base required to achieve this. Accredited BEng degree courses require further study to be completed to achieve the same status. This can take the form of full or part-time postgraduate study, distance learning or work-based learning and can be completed at a later date if you don't want to study a four-year degree straight away.

Degree pathways

We have three pathways for you to choose from, allowing you to specialise in your area of interest. Read about them below and follow the links at the bottom of the page to choose a course in your desired year of study.
