Course overview

High Voltage equipment
Optimising the Design of High Voltage Equipment is one of the varied projects currently being undertaken by students in the third year of their degree. Other projects include Developing Algorithms for Cancer Detection, Power line Communications, Designing Power Distribution Networks and Communications for 5G Mobile Networks
  • Strong industry links with companies such as Siemens, Rolls-Royce, Centrica, GE, Jaguar, Land Rover, National    Instruments,  BP and Texas Instruments
  • Student satisfaction scores consistently over 90% in the National Student Survey
  • 2nd in the Guardian league table for Electrical/Electronic Engineering (2017)


Tuition fees for home/EU students commencing their studies in September 2018 will be £9,250. Future inflationary increases may also be applied to each subsequent year of your course, subject to government regulations on fee increases.
