Open days and visit days

University open days

Applicants are invited to visit the School to meet staff and other students.

The best way to get a feel for what The University of Manchester is all about is to come and visit us on one of our open days. Open days give you the chance to find out more about the type of academic and social life you can expect at the University.

The next open days are:

  • Saturday, 30 September 2017
  • Saturday, 14 October 2017

If you would like to attend, please complete the open day registration form.

Typical itinerary of the School events on the day:

10:00am – 3:30pm
School stand in the Schuster Building (No. 54 on the campus map) – meet staff and students to find out more about what we do.

10 – 11am (repeats at 2:30pm)
Subject presentation ‘An overview of the subject, our degree courses, fees, funding, student support and employability’

12.45pm (duration is approximately 1 hour)
A tour of some of our facilities - Meet at Sackville Street Building (No. 1 on campus map) at the Granby Row entrance.

Note: You need to allow about 15 minutes to walk from the Schuster Building to the Sackville Street Building.
