“ I have always been interested in Electronics and Computer systems, so the Computer Systems Engineering course at The University of Manchester seemed to be the best choice for me. The School offered me a great mix of Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Computer Science in this course.

I decided to join The University of Manchester because of its world class reputation. The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is well equipped with modern laboratories which help in the better understanding of the subject.

The city of Manchester offers a great student atmosphere and is regarded as one of the best student cities in the UK. The sport facilities provided by the university are of high standards. There are about 46 Athletic Union sports clubs at the University so there is something for everyone.

The School has close links with industry and provides you with pleanty of useful information regarding summer placements, industrial placements and graduate jobs. The teaching methods in the School maintain a perfect balance between the theoretical and practical knowledge being imparted to us. In my first year I was involved in a team project which required building of a web based application. The second year has a team project in the form of Embedded Systems Project.

I feel that the skills and knowledge that I have developed while studying at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering will certainly be very helpful for my future and being a part of such a well reputed university always adds to your career.”
