Optimisation of circuits and systems for millimetre-wave

Future growth of the microwave and millimetre-wave communication systems market is dependent on the technological advancement of all aspects of the system chain from semiconductor materials through microwave components and circuits to complete turnkey system architectures.

The aim of our work is to exploit our knowledge in device modelling and circuit design to optimise the performance of measurement systems working into the millimetre-wave frequency bands, up to 500GHz.

Presented here in Royal Society Poster are V-PIN diodes to be used in switching circuits and and travelling wave amplifiers used in broadband measurement system such as network and spectrum analysers.
